Frequently Asked Questions

When you change dental providers, we understand you can often have a lot of questions regarding what might be different about your new dental practice, what kinds of cosmetic and restoration services are provided, and so on. In light of this, our team have put together a list of our most frequently asked questions (FAQs).

Alternatively, if the information you are looking for is not below, please feel free to contact us at (336) 275-1472 and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you might have about the treatments we offer.

How soon prior to my appointment should I arrive?
Arriving 10-15 minutes prior to appointment time would be adequate to complete paperwork, including any address or insurance changes, as well as a health history update. Patients can also complete paperwork online by clicking here.
Will you file my insurance?
As long as your insurance policy allows you to go to any office of your choice, we can file your insurance claim. You are responsible for your anticipated portion, such as deductible or co-pay, at the time of your appointment. If your insurance company does not pay the anticipated portion, or does not pay in a reasonable amount of time, you will be responsible for the balance.
Does Westover Dental Group participate with my insurance?
At this time we are an “in-network” provider with BCBS of NC, Delta Dental Premier, and Humana.
What if I need to change an appointment?
Please call our office no less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time if you should need to cancel or reschedule.
Can I have treatment after my recent medical treatment?
If you are receiving dental treatment and have a heart murmur, mitral-valve prolapse, or any replaced heart valves or joints; the American Heart Association does mandate an antibiotic be taken one hour prior to receiving dental treatment. Please make us aware of any changes to your health prior to your dental treatment in case these precautions apply to you.
Can I make payments?
Payment is expected at the time services are rendered (minus any estimated insurance portion). If your treatment will take multiple appointments, then we will schedule your payments over the course of those appointments. If you would like to make long-term monthly payments, we have a 12-month no interest plan offered through Care Credit. Click here to apply ( https://www.carecredit.com/apply/). We also accept Visa, MC, AMEX, and Discover.
Where can I review your office's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices?
You can read it here.
